Hey there’s a party today On your way, don’t forget to drive carefully, or Dead Man’s Curve will get you
But you had best know how to dance, we don’t allow wallflowers
We got time for a bit of dreaming, of course
What were we dreaming about? What a silly question
Of course there were always those lovely birds from England
You’re supposed to leave with the same girl you brought
Still what are you going to do..
Be careful going home, now

.
Love it – I really look forward to your selections – and they never disappoint
Why thank you, the hardest part is to find something to tie them together, there is much material but, it’s a fun task.
And fun to watch and listen to
That’s why it’s fun-thinking about the people that will enjoy it (even you young’uns!)
It is educational for us – but just don’t tell anyone
They were wonderful times, Jess. The last afterglow of World War II really.:-)
There were problems, of course, but we plowed on and solved them, and then Vietnam screwed a lot of it up, and politics much of the rest.
That is such a shame – the music has such a vibrancy, so much energy
It does, indeed. Venus was in here because it was the first song that I really, really loved on the radio-to the point of recording it on a dictating type cassette recorder.
I liked the singer – very beautiful
She is/was. I had no idea of that until I found it on you tube-you just can’t tell on AM Radio.
This Band made it through the Ages..
Yup, in truth quite few went on, in this list The Beach Boys, Jan and Dean for a while, The Mommas and Poppas all continued into at least the 70′s.
