About
I’m going to try to make this interesting for most of you. I’m going to talked about the problems in energy supply and usage. I’ll talk about contracting and contractors. No trade secrets, though.
I’m also going to talk about how home inspections and electrical inspections should be done as well as the requirements for good installs.
I hope we will attract some interest and even authors from all segments of the industry as well as home and business owners.
You’ll also get an occasional (maybe!) dose of my political and philosophical beliefs and even some (mostly) true stories. And some History,Yay!
This blog is a hobby, not my job; I’m not going to spend hours verifying everything I say here. Before you act on it, check it out for yourself. That’s the only way you’ll really believe it, anyway.
So, now, get to reading, have fun and let me know what you think. Do try to be civil, however. If there is something you would like me to look into or think about, be sure to let me know.

Well hello there. Thanks for visiting and commenting over at mine. I like the mix you’ve got here–I may just learn something by coming ’round.
My best
Linda
As my navy friends are wont to say, “Welcome aboard”. I enjoyed yours and will return.
Nebraska, I would like to invite you to join a private group of patriots that have our own private site to share news, comments, links with one another. Please leave a comment for Sami at Voting American http://votingamerican.wordpress.com/ that you would like to join our group. I have given him a heads up that I was issuing you an invitation. He will then e-mail you with the passwords. It is a great group (many bloggers you already know belong) and I know you will enjoy the online commaradarie and support for your own blog.
Hello there…. Thanks for coming over commenting on my new article. Very intriguing articles you have here, very passionate. I wish success to Nebraska and the energy infrastructure there. It is an important current issue indeed.
Kind Regards
Julia ~ Aum Kleem
I hope to learn something from someone who knows what he’s talking about when it comes to the current debates on energy issues.
Well, thanks. What I try to do is give a ground level, practical outlook. I know what works in the real world and you’ll find that I despise any technology that derives its usefulness from the government.
One thing to keep in mind is that everything right now is connected, it shouldn’t be but that’s the reality. That’s why there is more politics here than I really want there to be.
The other thing you’ll find is quite a bit of history and leadership. In working with young people, I find they have no conception of how we got here and no idea of how to lead people, even as a foreman on a job.
Enjoy, keep reading, comment and ask questions, especially if you don’t understand my point (sometimes I wander kinda far off into the weeds). As I always tell apprentices at work, “The only stupid question is the one you didn’t ask”.
Hi there,

Well, thanks. Considering your background and all I’m a bit surprised that you find it all that interesting, it’s become far more political than I intended but, that’s what I consider necessary at this time.
So welcome, and enjoy, I looked at your a bit this morning, and am sure I shall enjoy it greatly.
I’m curious about your most recent post on the Constitution Club. It’s a bit off topic, so I thought I would ask it here since it is in reference to your bio. Which city in Nebraska do you live? I only ask because you mentioned a beef packing plant in your hometown. My previous employer was a beef production company and had a plant in Grand Island, NE.
That’s fine. I’m in Lexington. Your most likely was Swift the one here is Tyson, it wasn’t a bad job when it was still IBP, there are huge differences between chicken and beef companies.
Yup, Swift is the one I’m thinking of. It’s now owned by JBS, which is a Brazilian-owned company based in Greeley, CO and now owns Pilgrim’s Pride, which is in direct competition with Tyson. I toured our local beef plant in Greeley, but never had a chance to visit one of the chicken plants.
It’s a cultural/historical thing mostly. Beef packing came out of Chicago with reasonably high wages and muckraking authors like Upton Sinclair while the chicken industry (I don’t know much about it either) came out of the south towards the end of reconstruction, low pay, little safety and interchangeable employees, actually quite similar to share-cropping, in my very limited understanding.
It will be interesting how Brazilian ownership changes Swift, I would guess not for the better. Most of Tyson’s growth is now overseas, for instance they are building an integrate hog feeding/ slaughter operation in the Philippines. That type of outsourcing bothers me. Bad as USDA is, it’s better than almost anything else in the world.
Adding your site to my blog roll if it’s okay! Very good stuff here!
Sure, you’ll go on mine as soon as I look around a bit.
I need some help… how do you get the little map onto your page? Clstr Map… I downloaded it but can’t make the code disappear
Back in a couple, Mac, as soon as I remember
Mac, I have strong doubts I did it right. I remember screwing around for about an hour before I got rid of the text. On mine its a text widget but, remember I’m got the bottom model because I’m still dealing with WordPress.com restrictions. You should be able to use one of the better models. I just realized that mine has the URL from Barb’s post that I clicked from to get it, which explains an anomaly in my loading. I notice that mine updates rarely anymore, weekly maybe, and it rarely agrees with the wordpress map which is weird. In short, for me it was a play with it operation and I don’t remember what finally made it work.
