5 Uncomfortable Truths About Liberals

Reblogged from Townhall

When one becomes a liberal, he or she pretends to advocate tolerance, equality and peace, but hilariously, they’re doing so for purely selfish reasons. It’s the human equivalent of a puppy dog’s face: an evolutionary tool designed to enhance survival, reproductive value and status. In short, liberalism is based on one central desire: to look cool in front of others in order to get love. Preaching tolerance makes you look cooler, than saying something like, “please lower my taxes”Greg Gutfeld

1) Most liberals are hateful people. Who are the most hateful people you can think of off the top of your head? If you’re not a liberal, the first people that probably come to mind are the God hates f@gs lunatics from Fred PhelpsWestboro Baptist Church. What type of human beings would do sick protests at funerals? Well, liberals have their own version of this. 1. What exactly is a liberal? Does supporting gay rights make me a liberal? The article had sweeping generalizations, so much so that I’m not sure if it was meant as a joke or not. I’m confused. 😦

    • He was primarily referring to the liberals we keep arguing with that know mostly how to call us racist and think name calling is an argument. There’s a bunch of them.

Why would you think conservatives oppose gay rights? We are the people who believe in that smallest of minorities, the individual. Do we believe in gays having rights superior to anyone else? No. Equal to everyone else? Absolutely.

To trifle with another can of worms, I personnaly don’t believe in gay marriage, maybe you do, it doesn’t actually matter to me. See how this works. The problem is that the government (mostly for tax purposes) recognizes marriage. It shouldn’t, except insofar as it recognizes any other partnership. Marriage is between the participant and their God, if any.

Little less confused? I hope so but, remember I speak only for myself. 🙂

    • They are indeed. He’s actually describing what I tend to term the current “progressives”. The liberals I grew up with were good people who wanted much the same as the rest of us. I don’t know the answer here, cause none of us fit completely into groups but we keep looking for “the thing that is not like the others.”
