Netanyahu Speech Before Congress On Iran: Fist Pumps From The Midwest

iStock 20492165 MD - American and Israeli flagsMy, and many of yours, as well, old friend, Cultural Limits wrote today in the DC Gazette a Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech to a joint session of the US Congress. Her article is linked here, and I recommend that you read it. But one paragraph really struck home with me:

For Americans starved for forceful leadership without excuses, Mr. Netanyahu’s address was a breath of fresh air.  It is very obvious that this man loves this country and respects the system it represents even if he is the leader of a different nation.  His presence was without apology  – and without constant references to his own achievements real or imagined.

I doubt that I need to say that I couldn’t agree any more with her. This afternoon Daniel Hannan. MEP Tweeted this, which you can see I retweeted.

It is rather refreshing to see a man address Congress who has, and likely will again put his life on the line to do “the harder right instead of the easier wrong”, isn’t it?

Here’s Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel to the United States Congress yesterday.

And just a quick note, Netanyahu thanked Congress for our help with the Iron Dome system that saved so many Israelis last summer. If you didn’t know the Israeli Iron Dome system is a spin-off of the much maligned Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI-Star Wars) that so many ridiculed President Reagan about.

What we down here, and I, [little me] have seen is a great Nation [America] addressed by a Great Man from another Great Nation as reported by a Great a Great All-American Blogger.

Thanks, Ike. The last supposition might be a bit shaky but otherwise, so do I. 🙂

You have no need to be modest this time, Nebraska. I adore your observations about old history but your heart is in the right place with current affairs as well/ Bless you, you are often an inspiration to me.

Thanks, again, Ike. History rhymes as we all know, it’s up to us to help guide it to the good poetry. 🙂

She’s as good as ever, I’ve talked to her once or twice. Like her, like her work.

For the rest, well…OK, I guess, and I suspect you’re right on size. 🙂

Yeah, I found her spot on. Not always something I was interested in, but often found I should have been.
I be impatient and hate ads. I know there is ad block. But I wary of ads for that too. I get pop up now to renew a ad block, heck I don’t click as I never knew I had it in the first place.
Lot’s of good info on Rush today, i.e. Nobel Peace Prize chairman removed, Rush couldn’t pronounce his name…Thorbjoern Jagland , just say Foghorn Leghorn. Also Walker attacked for hot spokeswomen…watch for next goal of affirmative action he said. Watch for the Goat to replace the Democrat mascot before long (not his comment). 🙂

I know, I have ad blocker plus and still get leakers, still it pays their salary, but I’d go there more without. Hah! And why wouldn’t he, all Wisconsin women are hot, not always sensible but hot! 🙂

Dang you and Rat had all the luck! I was stuck with them from GA, MS, CA(during mil. service, yeah you’re welcome for my service), NC, MS again, and finally NJ/ FL. Heck If I’d met a Wisconsin one…maybe I’d have never needed a ostrich egg. smh 🙂
