Brexit Voted Still Again and Buying Indoctrination

So Teresa May’s (very slightly) modified Withdrawal Agreement failed still again in Parliament yesterday. That’s a very good thing since what it primarily did was sell British sovereignty and the legislative role to the EU. The law says Britain leaves on WTO terms at the end of the month, but the cowardly Parliament and government are openly working to thwart the law. What happens now? I have no clue, if you do, tell me. What should happen is a general election and the replacement of every dishonorable member who has forgotten who he works for and what they told him to do. Most of the government and a fair slice of the (not so) Civil Service would be improved by spending some time at Her Majesty’s Tower of London. Sadly, that is the most unlikely outcome. The swamp in Westminster may be deeper and more viscous than the one in Washington.

In other news, now comes news that some 50 people are at some place in the process of being arrested for bribery. It seems they thought their kids needed some extra help to get into those elite schools that educate swamp creatures, so they paid someone to lie for them. Toni Williams at Victory Girls explains.

About 50 people have had arrest warrants issued, been arrested, are negotiating their arrest or are being pursued in connection with a college cheating scandal code named “Operation Varsity Blues”. Parents paying to get their mouth breathing, drooling spawn into schools the little idiots are not qualified to attend. If you missed the press conference today, it was absolutely jaw dropping. Not shocking or surprising just jaw dropping.

While the rest of us honorable schmucks were paying for college board prep tests (my son wouldn’t go) or at least begging our little cherubs to get a good night’s sleep prior to the test (nope to that one, too), these elitists, who are so much better than we are, schemed with a weasel named William Singer to phony up the test scores for the college boards, create phony elite athlete profiles and get their kids into college as athletes or just plain bribe college officials. And, then as if these elitists didn’t disdain us enough, they claimed the costs as charitable contributions on their tax returns. You cannot make this excrement up.

Actress Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky on Full House) and her husband, Target fashion designer, Mossimo Gianulli are two of the parents caught in the web of lies. From Deadline Hollywood:

Loughlin and her spouse Mossimo Gianulli “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC,” asserts the grand jury indictment.

Gianulli has been charged.

No real surprise, I think, except the prosecutions. And for that matter, anybody think these spawn went to school to learn anything useful, or just to get a meaningless piece of paper for the wall, and a four (or more) year party. So while the illegality should be punished, I don’t see many victims here, the parents had way more money than sense, the schools have long since giving up educating for indoctrinating, and the kids are there for the sex, and drugs, and rock and roll, or whatever it is now. Hard to get too excited.

I’ve been absent since coming down with flu virus H3N2 eight days ago. Finally can swallow without pain, no chills, and not head pounding. Information about this flu says I’ll likely be coughing and feeling weak for another week. Still…great to NOT be wishing I was dead. 🙂
In keeping with the idea that anything military is always welcome…THIS DAY IN HISTORY
    MARCH 13 U.S. Army launches K-9 Corps.
We had moved to the MS Gulf Coast in ’47. Wasn’t long before we heard the stories of the U.S service dog training on Cat Island. Locals who after the war attempted to go ashore the island were run off by vicious dogs, or so went the stories.
The island is 9 miles offshore and the tree tops can be seen on the horizon. It’s isolated, no bridges to it.
My memories of dogs there are I’m sure just dreams from the stories as by the time I was old enough to make a small boat trip there, about ’57, there were no dogs to greet us or attack. However, we did night fishing (floundering) there in ’58-’59 and ran across alligators that could get pretty excited if you bothered them. And of course, we kids had to do it. A bothered gator could and did get me pretty excited and on the move in retreat!
The story of the Cat Island dog training is part of the following on the whole story about the training in WWII.

Interesting, and something I knew nothing about. I think now the AF does the training at Lackland, and provided all the vets to all services. Why? I have no clue! 🙂

You were missed, glad you’re functioning, if not at top form for a week or so. 😀

Ahh, just 2 more stories of the same Marxist leanings taking root in our brave new world: “the conflict of interest between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat”

Not a happy state of affairs right now. We are all watching with baited breath to see what Parliament will do and what the Lord will do.

I do not know whether this story is apocryphal or not, but I gather that John Adams witnessed this done in Boston to a customs official before the outbreak of the Revolutionary War.

Indeed, people were more inclined to vigilante justice (the will of the majority) in dealing with scoundrels but then we became more civilized and more obedient to laws . . . though the scoundrels with their constant inconstancy to their vows to work for the common good and represent the people has gotten far worse. A pox upon them! 🙂

It seems like, without Divine intervention, we are trapped: on the one hand, we do not want anarchy; on the other, the laws we have created have become tools to oppress us. Laws in and of themselves are of limited value if the humans who enforce and circumvent them are corrupt. We are all corrupt – stained by our concupiscence. Perhaps our legislators should be required to follow in the footsteps of SS Francis and Ignatius.

Now that would be ideal though I doubt you could find a modern version of either. Sadly, the anarchy is pronounced on the opposite side of the road and right now we either hiding, talking, or yelling from the other side of the road. But should we be invaded from the Left Lane of this desolate road we are own, at least in the US there will be a battle that will ensue. What remains to be seen is what side our military and our law enforcement personnel will side with . . . that will determine the winner of loser in such that scenario.

Indeed, the biggest challenge is changing the demographics. Right now we are polling (between right and left) in almost equal numbers. There is no clear majority.

If it remains 45% on one side and 55% on the other and it slides back and forth on the scale due to the latest headlines we are not in a good position to change anything; we remain in stasis.

Should we ever command a 3 to 1 advantage or thereabouts things will change rapidly . . . let us hope that such an advantage goes to the conservative side of the aisle. Otherwise all is lost.

Indeed. I think a lot actually comes down to free will, which might explain why the Bible does not contain prophecies about everything. When Jesus returns, His control can order things – people, by and large, will not fight against Him or His angelic army – but until that day, the back and forth of the battle comes down to our free will: choice about prayer, about evangelism, about righteousness, etc.

It is good that you recognize that the Culture War is a mere reflection of the Spiritual War that we are in . . . and sadly few are aware of. The following article I thought was very good. And although it is about the Catholic Church and what is transpiring therein, it is a good summary of how the Culture War and the Spiritual War are raging, side by side.

That is starting to happen, I think, as the Dims rip off their mask and more and more people see the reality. 3 to 1 probably not but 2 to 1 is likely.

I’m not sure it would. We’ve been doing counter insurgency in Afghanistan for 17 years without much progress. I think it hopeless here, 3-5 hundred million weapons and trillions of rounds stockpiled. If Tarleton couldn’t do it in the Revolution, I doubt it could be done now. We pretty much invented asymmetric warfare, and the lessons are clear.

Its a good point, NEO. I think most of us know something about how to RESIST even in smaller numbers. But in the end we must become the majority or it is another endless war without a clear winner or loser.

        • This is prophecy being fulfilled ie. the shaking and exposure of all that’s not of the Kingdom. And it may bring about the collapse of the government and its Tory party with a new one that complies with democratic principles.

But there is also this. In the 17700s the British government lost almost all its legitimacy in the colonies, and i think if Parliament manages to avoid Brexit, that same situation will prevail in the UK, especially in England. And when that happens, you are not really enjoined to obey the law, although you may pay a price for your actions. 🙂

Update: MPs have voted to reject a WTO Brexit on 29 March 2019. Two important points:

    A) This vote is not binding; it is not the passing of a Bill. The default position of the Withdrawal Act still applies, so we will still Brexit on WTO terms in the absence of a deal unless Parliament can pass a Bill (and have HM sign it into law by Royal Assent) that overrides the default position before 11pm 29 March 2019.

    B) Extending the Article 50 notice is not a fait accompli: the question remains about how it is to be achieved and whether it is actually feasible in both UK and EU law and whether it can and will be achieved on time.

    Other issues:

    -A general election?
-Leadership votes in the two main parties?
    -The forming of other parties?
